Distinguished and Famous people from Gumeracha

🌟 William Beavis Randell

William Beavis Randell established his family home, Kenton Park, in the Gumeracha district and developed a flour-milling business there. His son William Richard Randell and other family members worked in the enterprise before the younger William became a Murray River steamer pioneer. The distinction matters: the Gumeracha miller and the river captain were father and son. Kenton Park, the mill and the township’s development give the elder Randell a direct local story, linking farming, flour production and the family business that preceded the river trade.
